Emrys recalls climbing up the walls of the old abattoir that was here with his friends, to see the animals being shot. He remembers the terrible smell and the sound of the terrified livestock. He would sometimes ask one of the workers for a sheep’s eye to sneak into an unsuspecting victim’s drink at a nearby cafe.

Nearby was the old Corona warehouse and Emrys remembers seeing cats drinking the pools of dandelion and burdock off the floor.
