Miranda Meilleur is a designer silversmith working in a variety of precious and non precious metals, she produces unique pieces of metalwork, bowls and spoons both functional and sculptural. She has exhibited worldwide and is currently working as a part time lecturer in applied design whist also making her own work.
Workshop: This is a workshop designed to introduce participants to metalworking and silversmith skills within the forge and to develop these skills to produce one off unique three-dimensional forms. Participants will be instructed in the safe use of specialist techniques and tools within the forge environment. Each participant will produce at least one bowl or three-dimensional form.
Time of workshop: 10.00-4.00pm 1hour lunch break(12.00-1.00), Thursday 23rd of June.
Dress code: sensible footwear (not sandals or flip flops), long hair tied back, no dangly jewellery or scarves.
***No prior metal working experience needed to participate in the workshop.***
