STAMP Castell03: To The Sea

The exhibition STAMP Castell returned to the town of Caernarfon in Summer 2018 for the third time, led by Manon Awst. Visual artists collaborated with poets, musicians, scientists and historians to reflect on the theme ‘To The Sea’, which coincided with Visit Wales’ Year of The Sea 2018. A period of research and creative conversations led to the creation of unique artworks that were exhibited at Caernarfon Castle and in diverse locations across the town during the period 15 – 24 June 2018.

The idea behind the project was to break down the boundaries between different disciplines and encourage creative dialogue between experts, to offer diverse perspectives on the subject ‘To The Sea’. The final artworks were an exciting mixture of site-specific sculptures and installations, performances, digital works and sound-pieces.

There were thirteen artworks altogether, some being positioned at the Castle and others at Galeri, Balaclafa, the Yacht Club, and along the promenade. To view the full programme click here: rhaglen_ir_mor
