Re:Brand was a series of workshops with various groups of young people, middle-aged and older generation in order to raise awareness of Ideas People Places project. The workshop discussions were designed for us to learn about how local people see Caernarfon in terms of opportunities, activities and events.
The main focus of Re:Brand was to find a title for the project so that the community could take ownership of the project from the outset.
It was also good to hear that the arts are very important to the majority of the people who took part of the workshops.
We decided that we wanted to use a ‘fluid’ approach to coming up with a name rather. Although we had had a number of suggestions the name that came to the top was STAMP.
STAMP works bilingually and matches the Caernarfon IPP project’s core remit which aims to voice the opinions and perspectives of the people and artists of Caernarfon.
